Energy Safe Victoria Enterprise Agreement 2015

If a job has a registered contract, the premium does not apply. However, ESV employees are employed as part of the Energy Safe Victoria Enterprise Agreement 2015 and have access to a number of employment policy conditions listed below. We appreciate our work and understand the impact it has on the safety of our neighbours, friends and families and the community as a whole. Registered contracts apply until they are terminated or replaced. The ESV wants to be an employer of choice and offer employees interesting and challenging work that contributes to the safety of gas and electricity in the Victorian community. The Fair Work Commission can also help employers and workers who are embarking on the “New Approaches” program. Learn more about the new approaches on the Fair Labour Commission website. The ESV makes a valuable contribution to the safety of the Victorian community through the technical regulation of the electricity and gas industry, the licensing of electricians and the maintenance of public and industrial awareness of electricity and gas safety. Our values confirm our interaction with everyone we work with. The parties to the agreement committed to implementing changes in the operation and provision of services by the Victorian government by adopting the principles of “labour mobility.” The principles recognize that the services required by the community of a modern public service are not static; they change all the time.

Our RIPA values define what is important to us and how we work: recruiting, developing and retaining a diverse workforce is essential to everything we do at the ESV. We want all our human beings to be respected – and feel – who they are. Diversity should never be an obstacle to success. The adoption of changing priorities is essential to creating a safe and flexible employment environment in the public service. The parties recognized the importance of ensuring that employees could be used reactively to support government priorities. Workers receive a mobility bonus, which must be paid as an annual package, in recognition of their continued commitment to these new ways of working. We support the development of skills and the professional promotion of our employees through regular learning and opportunities for development and growth. In addition, our beneficiaries can benefit from assistance in the form of study leave or financial assistance. That is why we have developed our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, which is based on an action plan for diversity and inclusion, with clear and measurable objectives. We believe this will further enhance the positive culture of diversity and inclusion of the ESV and encourage even more employees to respect and celebrate the diversity of our employees.

We offer a comprehensive health and wellness program, including health assessments, skin controls and flu vaccinations, as well as health training, free fruit and sponsorship for employees who participate in fun races, cycling and swimming, etc.
